My resilience has been put to the test these last few days, beginning with a near crash landing and followed by a string of botched travel plans. I am sitting in the airport now hoping for an uneventful trip home. In reflecting, I think perhaps the most important part of resilience is acceptance. The sooner one can accept that sometimes life has other plans, the better we can adapt and make the most of those plans. And while I recognize I’m not speaking now of major life hardships, perhaps the same is true. Easier said than done. This trip was far from what I planned, but I soaked in some perfect moments, and it was important that I was there.
